Police investigate baby injuries after shooting in New Orleans

«It was a tragedy. It was a tragic incident,» said James Henderson, an officer from the New Orleans Police Department’s Central District.

Authorities said the child, whose name hasn’t been released, was in a crib when police and fire arrived at the home about 5:15 p.m. Thursday and discovered the 4-month-old boy shot in the head, with a single bullet lodged in his brain. The child was flown to Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., according to Henderson. Henderson said an autopsy is planned for next week.

The New Orleans Police Department’s Central District said Wednesday afternoon that there was a possible shooter at the home and police evacuated the two businesses immediately after. A SWAT team was called in to a nearby house about 1:45 a.m., according to the department. Police later evacuated the New Orleans apartment complex after finding an active shooter. Police said it could be about 20 minutes until an official count can be made on the shooting, Henderson said.

All lanes of Interstate 10 were blocked off for several hours. The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for parts of New Orleans and Carrollton County as it passed throug골목h the area, according to Weather.com.

By Thursday afternoon, NOPD was back online and officials announced there were no active shooter reports in the New Orleans area.

Investigators said the investigation into what went wrong is ongoing, and authorities were still trying to determine whether the shooting could have been carried out by a man with a history of mental illness. Police say it’s also unclear if a블랙 잭nyone else was involved in the incident.

«It is a tragic loss,» Henderson said. «This isn’t just a child. It’s not just a parent.»

A memorial for the victim was established around 6:40 p.m. in the home on North Main Street. More than 100 people attended the dedication.

Police said the home was burglarized about five minutes after the shooting. When they arrived and began to investigate, Henderson said one of the victims ran outside as police confronted the suspect, who was sitting inside of his home. The suspect then ran outside of a fourth-floor window onto the street.

According to the police report, no one was hurt in the home’s home invasion.

Police in the area of West Main Street and University Avenue have conducted a large-scale search that may yield more evidence of an albino person.

«We have a large-scale search underway to locate a person who was last s강원안마een in the vicinity of West Main Street and University Avenue as well as the entire neighborhood of University Avenue,» said Detective Sergeant Greg Kincaid with the Calgary Police Service Homicide and Major Crimes Unit.

Police began searching on Tuesday afternoon, after receiving a number of tips. They found that the suspect, who is described as white, 10 to 15 years old, was riding in a vehicle with the number B.C.A. on the back windshield.

Police identified the suspect from a variety of photos and video and said the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

«He’s definitely not the albino one that was reported by the news,» said a 바카라 룰man who identified himself as Joe of University Avenue. «They’re a whole lot closer to the albino side.»

In addition to police searching the area, volunteers from several organizations, including the Calgary Police Service Mental Health Services Service and Calgary Youth Justice Centre, have provided assistance.

One of the volunteers is a 10-year-old boy who was reported missing from the same neighborhood in May 2016.

When police spoke to him, he told them he went to the school bus stop and asked another boy for help getting home because he was worried h서산출장마사지e might have been abducted. Police believe he has not been seen since.

«He’s a lot better now,» the girl told investigators.
