At an unannounced meeting with the US ambassador to the UN on Tuesday night, Nigerian authorities and intelligence agents in the field thwarted a jihadist plot to attack the UN headquarters in New York.

The terrorist organization Boko Haram, which has become a major terrorist threat to African countries, is demanding the return of hundreds of girls and women from the northeast of the country, the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) said in a statement. The UN Security Council on Wednesday passed two new sanctions on the group, including barring it from funding or recruiting international terror organizations.

The Boko Haram plot was revealed by a senior UN official, in a joint statement from the head of UN High Commissioner for Refugees UNHCR and the heads of several other coun바카라사이트tries. Hospital plan boosts patient response times for first time surgery
